Evaluation of three different long-term addition polymerising silicone denture liners and to compare the changes in their hardness, modulus of elasticity and water sorption after storage in artificial saliva

Aim: To evaluate the properties of three different long-term addition polymerising silicone denture liners in relevant clinical situations. Materials and Methods: Three silicone-based, widely used soft (autopolymersing chair-side GC RelineTM Soft Mollosil® heat cure Molloplast® B) were selected. Forty-two disk-shaped samples prepared using a heat-polymerised PMMA base material stainless steel split mould (40mm diameter, 8mm thickness). All silicone-based mixed, 3mm poured over specimens. The stored artificial saliva for 24 hours at 37 degrees Celsius, initial measurements taken hardness, water sorption modulus elasticity. A Shore durometer measured with precision balance elasticity universal testing machine. Statistical Analysis: constants such as mean standard deviations (SD) calculated.
